Are You Ready For Some Football? Review Time!

Salsa Senorita

What comes to mind when you think about Superbowl Sunday. If you are like my husband you will immediately start quoting stats from both of the teams who are playing this year. Not me. I am virtually football illiterate, but I do love the Superbowl for two reasons: the commercials and the food!

Up until about seven years ago, I always hosted a great Superbowl party. Now, while we don't host a lot of guests, but we still have a good time with our kids. We usually plan a “fun” menu that includes things like hot chicken wings, yummy dips, maybe a homemade pizza, and we allow the children to stay up a little later watching the game.

I was thrilled when I received a package in the mail from Salsa Senorita, a company that boasts “the legally addictive salsa.” I knew right away I would incorporate this salsa into my Superbowl menu, but just couldn't resist opening the jar for a taste today! I have always been a huge salsa fan. I eat it on everything from potatoes to eggs and I like to consider myself a bit of an expert on which brands are the best.

I received a jar of their medium salsa which is made from all natural items including tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, onion, garlic, sea salt and citrus. You guys know by now I am a huge promoter of all natural products so I was very excited to try Salsa Senorita. This salsa has a strong garlic flavor to it, so while it may not be for the faint of heart, it was right up our alley since we use garlic on a daily basis. I also loved that the salsa had a slightly thinner texture like the salsa I eat at my favorite Mexican restaurant.

For us, the bottom line is this is an awesome adult salsa. The children tried the salsa, but the medium carries quite a bit of heat so it was just not for them which thrilled Matt and I since it means more yummy salsa for us! Salsa Senorita does have a mild version, so I am sure the kids would like that one better.

I know you are dying to know more about this company so let me tell you more. This salsa was created over 25 years ago in a New Mexico Kitchen with all natural products and over the years the quality and freshness of all natural products has continued. The salsa is easily purchased on the website and the price is comparable to a good quality salsa you would purchase at the local market. They also can be found on Facebook and Twitter and you can even find recipes to try out with this salsa!

So go ahead and buy some. I promise you'll be glad you did!
