I'm in Peanut Butter Heaven with PB Crave!

If Peanut Butter became outlawed tomorrow, my family would be in some kind of trouble for sure.  We are such peanut butter consumers, that rarely a day goes by that someone isn't requesting a PBJ, Peanut Butter on toast, or a teaspoon of peanut butter to cure the hiccups.  It is one of the most used, valuable commodities in my home.  When we need a quick sweet snack for a party at Hubby's work, I simply whip together my quick and easy Peanut Butter Cookies that only require 3 ingredients. My stockpile has at least 6 jars at all times, and for the last 3 months, I have been making the peanut butter we eat now homemade from peanuts.  Bottom line is our family loves peanut butter!

PB Crave is like the Rolls Royce of Peanut Butter Companies.  It was founded by Curt Riess who disliked peanut butter for years until one day he tried peanut butter, raspberries and chocolate and something magical happened.  Peanut Butter was transformed into something amazing, and Curt began his own company and developed four unique flavors!


I received a package containing Razzle Dazzle, Cookie Nookie, Coco Bananas, and Choco Choco to assist my review.  True story, my husband works nights and is up all night on his "days off."  I caught him the night we got them in the mail at midnight, spoon in hand with all four jars open eating them all.  I quickly gave him the blogger speech about how we don't open anything until pics have been taken, and grabbed my own spoon!! Hey, it was already open!

I was surprised that the peanut butters weren't TOO sweet because their names sound so "dessert-like" that   I was expecting a very sweet product.  They are lightly sweetened with honey along with natural flavors like bananas, chocolate chunks and raspberry flavoring.

My favorite by far was the Razzle Dazzle which boasts both white and dark chocolate, raspberries and honey.   It's like a carnival of flavor popping in my mouth.  My oldest son favored this one as well, and asked every morning if he could have some on his toast before school!

My daughter Suzannah loves the Coco Bananas, and it was my second favorite.  It is really bursting with banana flavor, and Suzannah says she could taste the banana more than the Peanut Butter, but I think they are equal.

Cookie Nookie was loved by all, and I even made some peanut butter cookies one day with it, and they left me a crumb filled plated in no time!  It took me back to my teen years when I loved to buy a tube of Cookie Dough and eat it raw!

Choco Choco was Mika's favorite because at two he thought he was eating chocolate every day for lunch but Mama knew he was eating healthy peanut butter with chunks of authentic Belgian chocolate in it which is very healthy for the body!

We were overall pleased with the Peanut Butters, and they are something we will splurge on again from time to time.  They are pricier than most peanut butters at $17.97 for 3 so for us they are definitely a splurge rather than an every day peanut butter.  However, considering the high quality ingredients used in making these butters, I think they are definitely fairly priced.  My favorite thing about the PB Crave Company in general is that a minimum of 2% of the cost of each jar of peanut butter goes to Project Peanut Butter, a non-profit that treats malnourished children!

Authentic Latin Dinners with Nueva Cocina!

Here in the My Wild Crazy Life household, we really love food from multiple cultures.  We have Italian night at least once a week, I cook Indian, Pakistani, and Chinese at least once a month each,  and one of our favorites which is on the menu at least once a week is Latin, Cuban and Hispanic Food.  The kids adore everything from tacos, bean burritos, Chips and Salsa, fajitas, and I make a Chicken Tortilla Soup and a Taco Salad twice a month just because I love it so!

Nueva Cocina,  a company founded by two Cuban Born Women who met in college and both have a passion for authentic Latin Food.  They created a line of convenient, 100% all-natural authentic Latin Food. Each recipe begins with Sofrito, a combination of garlic, onions, peppers, and spices which are the foundation of most Latin foods!

So you can imagine our delight when I received a package in the mail from Nueva Cocina, containing a complete meal minus the meat I needed to add!  My package contained Red Beans and Rice Mix, Chipotle Taco Seasoning, and Tortilla Soup with Cilantro.  

The Chipotle tacos were so easy to prepare that I let my 13 year old son cook it.  We just added the seasoning package and water to our browned ground beef and let it simmer until the flavors married.  We served it up on a whole wheat tortilla to add some health factors to the meal and it was really good.  The seasoning in the mix was different then the typical brands I see in the market. It had a nice smokiness, tons of flavor, and it was so good Max asked if we could make this kind of taco from now on!

The package of Tortilla Soup with Cilantro suggested adding chicken, corn or beans.

  I had a couple of left over chicken breasts in the fridge and my stockpile always has corn and beans so I decided to go for it!  It was a quick prepare, and was very very good!  My son had a blast decorating the bowl with cheese, sour cream and homemade tortilla strips.  

The Red Beans and Rice was equally easy, add water and simmer for the allotted time.  Beans are my children's least favorite food, but one of my favorite side add ins because of the fiber content and how good they are for the body!  They didn't seem to enjoy this, but they don't enjoy any brand or even homemade beans and rice so it isn't a testament of the Nueva Cocina Brand.  My husband and I did enjoy it, and we had some for leftovers the following day!

They have several other items I can't wait to try such as the Coconut Raisin Rice and the Taco Fresco Seasoning Packet and at the cost of $4.98 for two boxes of rice and $2.98 for two packets of seasoning, I have my list ready for shopping day!  While I do prefer to mostly make homemade food (you know by now I preserve most of my own foods and make the rest from scratch), it IS nice to have pantry items I can fall back on a really busy day or use when the children want to cook supper without my help!  Nueva Cocina has all the items I need to allow Max or Suzannah to cook alone (with mom watching from the living room) on Hispanic food night!

I have always loved shoes ever since I can remember. I love high heels, high heeled sandals, flip flops, but until two years ago, I never wore sneakers unless I was actually exercising. I began staying home with the kids again 2 years ago when we moved to the country, and out of practicality I stopped wearing heels except on special occasions pulling out my pair of sneakers and collection of flip flops to wear instead.  Since then, I have really started loving sneakers ,and my collection of one has become a collection of many!

  Gotta Flurt is a new company that offers fun, flirty, and fashionable footwear which combines comfort, quality, fashion at an affordable cost!  There is nothing ordinary or boring about these shoes!  No sir!  They are trendy, super cute, and I genuinely like almost every style.  They offer selections for everyone:  Girls, Boys, Toddlers, Women AND Men-which is perfect for my family.  They have perfect styles for my girly girl AND my bold, daring tomboyish girl along with something for the rest of us too!

I received the TwistMe  Reversible shoe Tongue Shoes to assist with my review. They are super cute:  hot pink with a tongue that can either be Zebra sparkles or hot pink.  

My daughter who loves to wear Mama's Shoes to school pointed out that it would be really cute to wear one shoe zebra and the other hot pink.  The minute I put these shoes on I fell in love with them.  They look awesome on, and are so fashionable.  I have a wide width foot, so I was concerned if I would even be able to wear them since I can't wear some brands of this style of shoe for that very reason. However, they still fit me fine, and I have worn them on several occasions for hours.  My daughter who doesn't have a wide foot has no trouble tightening the laces and they are not too loose on her. 

They have so many styles I love that I can't wait to get: animal prints, sequins, and they even have wedges for women so you can have your sneakers and wear heels too-How awesome is that?!? I wore them shopping the other day and we were gone for hours so I typically would have worn my orthopedic shoes because of my back issues.  While my back WAS sore when we got home since these are obviously not designed to solve medical ailments, my feet were not sore, so these shoes aren't just adorable, they are comfortable, too! I am completely satisfied and would recommend them to anyone since they are super reasonable typically selling at around $40-$50, but you can find them on sale online right now at Famous Footwear (Different style than I received, but CUTE) for around $25!

One thing I readily noticed and love is the packaging!  The box comes with two shoe lace looking cords inside.

They attach to the top of the box, upcycling the box into a handy carry all so that we prevent more useless waste in our landfills!  A company that has fashionable, reasonable shoes AND is doing their part for Mother Earth-that gets the My Wild Crazy Life Seal of Approval!

Rustic, Upcycled Accessories for your Home with Signs by Andrea!

Over the years my style has gradually changed.  In my 20's I was entertaining all the time and worried about "keeping up with the Jones'," and I was always wanting crystal items, breakables, etc.  In 2007, I did a complete overhaul of our design since we moved to the country.  While we still entertain and like nice things, I would call my style more eclectic and rustic now to fit our lifestyle.  I do still love nice things, and we were buying upcycled things before it was what the "cool kids" were doing so I am totally loving the new upcycled trend that is in.   

Signs by Andrea includes a line of upcycled signs made out of weathered wood.  It began a few years ago when Andrea attended a wedding and everyone was raving over a Monogram the bride received.  This gave her inspiration to work with some weathered wood creating beautiful signs, and before long, her business had taken off!  When demand became great for quotes and love songs, Andrea expanded her business to include a line of digital posters which are equally popular!

I received a Two Initial Sign and a Special Dates Artwork  to help facilitate my review.  Andrea allowed me to pick the color of my Two Initial Sign, and since I live in a Dark Brown and Gray Log House, I decided to go with the red sign so it would really Pop out and add some pizzazz to my house!  You can see in the picture that it almost looks vintage with the dark colors and that bright red-LOVE IT!

Each sign is handmade on weathered and worn wood, so no two signs are alike, even if by chance they were to include the same initials!  The sign is 12" x 5.5" x .75" in size, with 45 degree angled corners, and you can see for yourself how beautiful it is!  I love that she signed and dated the back so that it is an "original," and I took a picture of the sign on my own piece of weathered wood so you can see how authentic her signs are!

Turquoise is one of my favorite colors so it was a super easy choice when it came to picking the Special Dates Artwork!  






There were various ways to arrange the dates, but I decided to put our anniversary first, then do the birthdays starting with my husband, then me, and from the oldest to youngest from there!  It is such a gorgeous poster, and the website has options where you can either go to a printing website and pay to have it printed and shipped, or you can simply print yourself which is the option I chose!

Diaper while loving the Earth with Lotus Bumz Diapers!

I have been on a mission to discover all the different diaper varieties, what the differences are, which brands actually work better or best, and spreading the word to as many people as possible about how easy it is to cloth diaper.  

So you can imagine my delight when I received Fluff Mail a couple of weeks back!  Lotus Bumz cloth diapering company began when Lorain Danus-Herder was looking for an affordable way to cloth diaper her baby because of how good it is for both baby and the environment.  She had her baby one day and became a WAHM the following day!  To say she is someone to aspire towards is an understatement!

I was thrilled to receive one of her Lotus Bumz 2.0 StarButts Diapers in my mailbox!  Mika can talk decently, and the first thing he said was "yay, my new dipey!"  He LOVES the stars and I have to have this one clean for him every night to sleep in.

It is made out of a shiny, leak-proof exterior (PUL) with a fleece lining to help wick away the moisture from baby's bottom.  Also, it has three lines of snaps so that it is adjustable from newborn until at least 38 lbs, but we aren't on the last snap yet, so we have more room to grow in this diaper.

It also has hip snaps to keep the diaper from drooping around the hips, and it also came with a three layer microfiber insert.

Out of all of my diapers this one is probably the most absorbent or leak proof.  I DO have to use an extra insert at night time (I put one in the pocket, and one inside the diaper itself) for added protection, but to my knowledge that is necessary with all diapers once a baby gets older and is a heavy wetter at night.  However, with other diapers, I usually limit his liquid intake after supper time or we have a leak through.

The other night we had company and Mika was up until 11 eating and drinking several glasses of milk right before bedtime.  While he did pee and have to be changed, I was shocked he didn't get me wet!   The only night I had issues was when I only had one insert clean (did I mention all the spur of the moment company?) and of course he wet through that night because of my lack of preparation!

Leg is nice and snug, but not uncomfortably so!

I have been much pleased with this diaper, and at $16.97 for a diaper with a triple layer microfiber insert included, it is a nice mid-priced diaper.  It is definitely Mika's current favorite, and since it works well, that's that's good enough for me!

Oopsie Daisy

When it comes to children's items, I could literally break the bank when it comes to unique, cute boutique-ish items.  I can literally get lost in certain favorite stores for hours while browsing through hundreds of items I can't live without truly need, and I start contemplating how I am going to talk my husband into putting a little extra green in my pocket so I can buy it all!  Funny but true thing is though, it's actually me that has to rein him in when it comes to buying for his children when he gets going in a great Boutique.

Oopsie Daisy, Best of the Beehive Award Winning Boutique is exactly the kind of store I am talking about.  When I look at pictures, I am taken back to being a little girl dressed in my Mama's Sunday best dress, high heels, beautiful bracelet, and a lace tablecloth draped over my hair because of course I was a bride!  Everything in Oopsie Daisy just makes me think, Cinderella, Happily Ever After, Prince Charming, and there aren't many items in the shop I don't really, really want! Really.

They have everything a Child and Mother's Heart desires:  Toys like Jellycat Scruff Pup , Books like the "Tickle Monster" and even Photo Props such as the London Raquel Headband Coco Chanel Addiction-all of which make me a tad sad that I have already had my last baby.

Additionally, I love the designer bedding and furniture they offer, and I like that their prices are comparable to most furniture stores so I can feel good about not frivolously spending when purchasing! 

One of my personal favorite items they sell are the Petunia Pickle Bottom Weekender Bags!  They are so beautiful you won't know they are a diaper bag or weekender bag.  There are several on the webpage I really want to buy because they are so practical but look so non-practically designer beautiful!

Lastly, they also have "useful" needed items such as kids shoes in brands we know and trust such as Pediped and See Kai Run along with so many gorgeous clothes and accessories both for your darling boy OR girl!
