Holiday Gift Guide: Pamper your Pigs with Toe Juice Giveaway 12/17!

I have a problem with my feet and skin, it's kinda embarrassing to be honest.  I have severely dry skin to the point that no matter how much lotion I use, and boy do I use a lot, my feet will get dry and cracked.  Top that off with the fact that we have two people in our family with Eczema, and we are just a dry family.

Because of this, I am always on the look out for a product that will help alleviate some of this discomfort.  Toe Juice is a head to toe skincare that began out of necessity.  Royce Garner, a High School Teacher began some research and mixing in his lab when his infant son had cracked dry feet and nothing was working to cure the problem.  What he came up with was so revolutionary and worked so well that his friends encouraged him to share the product with the public.

Toe Juice can be used for, but isn't confined to:

  • Acne
  • Athletes foot
  • Cold Sores
  • Diabetic
  • Eczema
  • Foot Problems
  • Ichthyosis Psoriasis
  • Insect Bites
  • Jock Itch
  • Jungle Rot
  • Misc. Skin Irritation
  • Rashes
  • Ringworm
  • Warts
I am still in the process of testing this out on my feet and my husband's face (he has severe eczema in places), but thus far I have been pleased.  My feet have gone from really severe, since nothing I have ever tried works, to being somewhat dry with only minor cracking.  I can't wait to see the results as I continue using this product because I can already see a difference!

You can find this product in local retail stores such as Walgreens, Albertsons, Bed Bath and Beyond, and you can even get free shipping for purchases $15 and greater on the website.  As always you can stay up to date with the latest promotions via Facebook and Twitter, and you can gain lots of inspiration and ideas from Pinterest.  Also, you can enter to win a set of Toe Juice for your very own!  This is a great product for anyone with skin problems, dry skin, and much more so get your entries in via the Rafflecopter!

I am old enough that I actually remember when the internet really started out, and who else remembers when My Space was the only social network out there?  Heaven's it seems like just yesterday I heard about Facebook, and now I am updating statuses, posting pictures, and "keeping up with the Jones" of Social Networking.  It's so popular that even my children are begging for their own page, and of course anything that promotes updating is hugely popular right now.

When Status Update Bands contacted me, I knew they were on to something with their cute silicone bands that literally allow you to wear your updated status!  You can choose cute little charms such as Single, Married, It's Complicated, Emoticons, Sweetheart Sayings, and even the cutest Jewish Charms.  These charms are paired with various silicone bands-tons to choose from- and viola!  You can update your status by the day, or even hour if need be!

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Giveaway 12/17!

When it comes to my oldest daughter, I am super fortunate that she likes to read.  At nine years old, she has read some of the books that I read and loved them. However, there is one series of books geared towards her age range that she is wildly in love with:  Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

She has read every single book except for the 7th one, so when I was presented the opportunity to review The Third Wheel, I jumped at the chance.

About The Third Wheel

Love is in the air—but what does that mean for Greg Heffley?

A Valentine’s Day dance at Greg’s middle school has turned his world upside down. As Greg scrambles to find a date, he’s worried he’ll be left out in the cold on the big night. His best friend, Rowley, doesn’t have any prospects either, but that’s a small consolation.

An unexpected twist gives Greg a partner for the dance and leaves Rowley the odd man out. But a lot can happen in one night, and in the end, you never know who’s going to be lucky in love.

This is just a synopsis of the book, but as you can see it is riveting and my daughter has been glued to the book since I gave it to her.  She said it is exciting and she is loving reading it, and I am sure to hear everything about it just as soon as she has completed the book!

Where to Buy
Diary of a Wimpy Kid books are available wherever books and e-books are sold.
MSRP:  $13.95

You can win a Diary of a Wimpy Kids book of your very own!  The winner can choose one of the following books:

1.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid
2.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules
3.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Last Straw
4.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days
5.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Ugly Truth
6.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid Cabin Fever
7.  Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Third Wheel

All you have to do to enter to win is to complete one or more options on the Rafflecopter.

Holiday Gift Guide: Pear Tree Greetings Giveaway 12/10

I am not a historian, but legend has it that Christmas Cards originated in England sometime in the 1840's.  A Sir Henry Cole wanted to spread the word about his favorite charity so he asked an artist to paint a depiction of the poor being given food and clothing. Someone added the words "A Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to You" and the greeting card company was a boom the next day!  Okay, maybe not the next day, but the tradition definitely caught on, and it has expanded into a Holiday Tradition for most of us!

Up until a couple of years ago, I would go to the trouble of getting everyone dressed up in matching colors, go spend way too much money on family portraits, and then purchase expensive Christmas cards to send them off to all of our relatives and friends for Christmas.  No more!

Thanks to companies like Pear Tree Greetings, I can now order some pretty great Christmas cards from the comfort of my computer using the pictures I have taken of the kids through out the year.  It's really a win:win situation because I am only buying one product and saving a lot of time and money. I don't have to cut out pictures, write information on the back of the picture, endorse the card, and fill out the envelope.  Now, I can order the cards and just fill out the envelope or for a little bit more, I can order the envelopes already filled out for me!

Now this is what I call a Merry Christmas!  This mom of four has precious little time to waste and Pear Tree Greetings is helping make my life easier!  All I had to do was upload my favorite picture or pictures (if a card boasting multiple pictures is chosen), and the hardest part of the process was deciding which beautiful card to choose!

I had some really good pictures of my niece, and as you can see from the picture, her Holiday cards turned out just gorgeous.  They have selections such as Ornament cards, Clothesline style cards, Magnet cards and more!

The Pear Tree Greetings website has so many options to choose from, and I got some really good picture ideas from Pinterest.  Also, don't forget to check them out on Facebook or Twitter for the latest and greatest promotions!

One of my lucky readers is going to win a $25 giftcard good towards the purchase of anything on the website.  Just enter one or more options on the Rafflecopter!

Holiday Gift Guide: Stash Tea Giveaway 12/16

Once the cold Fall months arrive I become a hot tea fiend.  No matter what I do, I can't seem to get warm during the winter, so nothing tastes as good as a hot cup of tea that warms me from the inside out.  As a matter of fact, I have so much tea that it fills an entire shelf in the cabinet and my husband has laid down the law:  no more tea flavors until I drink up all of what I have.  He's obviously no fun at all!

Stash Tea has been offering 100% all natural teas for 40 years now which is testament of how great their teas are!  They gather their teas from tea gardens that treat their workers honest and fair, and some of the tea they offer is certified organic.  If all of that isn't enough for you, how about the fact that they purchase renewable green energy from their local electric company, upgraded all their light fixtures to energy-smart fluorescent fixtures, and they recycle and reuse.

I usually try to find companies that meet some of my preferences to share with you, but this company meets all of them!   The Holiday Teas Quartet  is perfect to either give to someone you love or like for Christmas, serve for Christmas breakfast, or even warm up a Christmas party.

It has a nice variety of White Christmas-a ginger infused white tea, Holiday Chai- a black chai scented with ginger and rum, Christmas Morning-a traditional black tea to help get you rolling on Christmas morning, and Christmas Eve-a peppermint herbal blend to soothe and relax excited spirits anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival!  Chai is my favorite, but I am seriously loving all these teas.  I even allow my children to have a cup on occasion as well since they love this tea, too!

Check out the extensive Stash Tea varieties, and hop over to Pinterest for some Holiday inspiration!  All the latest promotions are also listed on Facebook and Twitter.

Want to win some for yourself or to gift?  I thought you might, so just hop on the Rafflecopter to be entered to win an awesome gift collection including:  Holiday Teas Trio, Tea Filter Bags Cup Size, and a Woodlands Tree Mug!

Nutrisystem week 14 #NS Nation, #Spon

Somehow with all the Holiday cleaning, cooking and relatives visiting I totally forgot to post my weight loss last Friday.  I am really sorry about that, so I thought I would post twice this week, now and at the end to show my progress!

I am thrilled to say that last week as of Thursday (we celebrated Friday since DH had to work) that I have finally reached my 20 lb weight loss and weigh 260.  I would be dishonest if I didn't say I wish this weight loss thing were going quicker and that it was easier for me to lose.  However, I am staying positive because I have at least lost 20 lbs, and multiple inches.

I am a little worried about this week since I didn't stick to the plan Friday-Sunday since we had company. I did eat some Nutrisystem at breakfast, lunch and snacks, but evening meals I enjoyed with the family and I know I will pay the price!  I may be a slow loser, but the jeans I was in when I started still fall off if I try to wear them, so I am definitely seeing results!

Want to lose weight and get healthy on Nutrisystem? Join today by calling 1-888-853-4689 or by visiting Nutrisystem

*Nutrisystem is providing me with  free food and support service as part of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger program. In exchange, I will be posting each week with my progress. All thoughts expressed are my own, and my experience using the system may vary from that of other participants.*

Just say No to Saggy Pants with Olive and Nell Livy Belt!

Two of my children were blessed with my behind.  This didn't use to be as fashionable as it is now, and I want to personally thank Jennifer Lopez for smoothing the way and making big booties the in thing!  My other two kids (the youngest two) weren't so blessed.  As a matter of fact, they were not blessed at all.  They have no hips and no booty. Wonderful!  Finally children who are model thin!

Not so much.  Why?  Because the world sees more of their naked behinds then they would like to.  Honestly, I can't find anything that works.  Belts won't hold up those sagging drawers, and even if I buy the pants too tight, they still sag!  It really is an embarrassing dilemma.

When I was presented with the opportunity to review the LivyBelt by Olivia and Nell   I jumped at the opportunity.  They are buckle-less, velcro-less,  snap-less, and don't need belt loops.  They are a stretchy material that slides over clothing and rests over top of the waist band to hold it in place.

I want to say how cute these belts are.  One has a bow on it, the other is a solid band, and the third is hot pink and black striped and is wide.  They are just so cute.  The wide one works perfectly as it should.  Stays in place, holds up the pants, and all three are super durable.  However, the other two caused some tears here in the My Wild Crazy Life Home.  My slender "skinny minnie" as I call her who has to wear slim pants and still use the elastic and buttons to make them tighter on her in order to fit tried the other two belts and they just wouldn't stay in place.

They kept rolling up no matter how we tried.  So, I used the one with a bow on it as a super cute head piece on her and the tears were magically gone!  Turns out these used as a hair piece were such a hit at school among all the girls that a 5th grader "borrowed it without asking" from my daughter and wouldn't return it.  No worries, we eventually got the band back, and it has been worn several times since!

My daughter has been super pleased with these belts and has even asked if we can purchase more in different styles and colors so she can accessorize all her outfits, so LivyBelts definitely get a thumbs up in my book!  You can find them on Facebook to keep up with their latest promotions!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Looking for Vegan, Gluten-Free Macaroons? Look No further-Hail Merry

Coconut is one of my favorite treats.  I love everything from coconut custard pie, coconut cream pie, coconut almond candy bars, and I love to drink coconut water.  The truth is that it has been a very long time since I have enjoyed any of the above except for the coconut water.  Until last week.

When I received a package in the  mail with bags of macaroons in it from Hail Merry, I knew I was going to enjoy me some coconut- and I did.  These things are sinful, except they are almost guilt-free sin.  Confused? Let me explain.  These macaroons are vegan, gluten-free, contain raw oils, but taste so good you won't miss the bad stuff you think is supposed to be in  your candy!

The only thing I can even think of that makes Hail Merry a potential no-no is because they have a "may contain tree nuts" disclaimer on them.  For us, that means my oldest cannot eat them, but hey, more for mama!

I definitely am adding these to my list of goodies to add in stockings this year because with things like raw almond flour, coconut oil, organic shredded coconut, and nothing resembling preservatives, chemicals, or ingredients I can't pronounce, they are perfect for my kids!

You can discover their other flavors and other products on the Hail Merry website, get awesome inpsiration from their Pinterest boards, and Facebook and Twitter contain all the latest promotions!
